Painting Techniques – Sarah Strong

Tuesdays 6pm – 7:30pm,  Aug 12th – Sept 2nd

Tuition: $65, Materials not included

This four week session will give you the tools you need to use paint to illustrate and communicate personal observations and experiences. We will begin by exploring watercolor journaling techniques for visually capturing important events and insights in your life. We will discuss and experience how color is used for symbolism. We will review how paint has been used over time to represent natural scenes and people then create personal works using a technique of our choice. Through being exposed to many ways paint is used as an expressive medium, you will find the methods and techniques that best suite your life!

 

Calligraphy – Marco R. Smouse

Thursdays 6pm – 7:30pm,  Aug 14th – Sept 4th

Tuition: $65, Materials not included

Penmanship is important. Learn the artistic attributes of basic calligraphy, including how to properly hold your pen in order to achieve a specific style. How to apply appropriate pressure etc… This course is intended for an amateur student aiming to enhance their penmanship.

 

Copper Electroforming – Anthony Barbano

Wednesdays 6:30 pm – 7:30pm, Aug 13th – Sept 3rd

Tuition: $65, Materials not included

In this class you will learn the basic process of electroforming copper. This form of metal working can plate a variety of materials such as small organics (leafs/twigs/acorn etc..). As well as more delicate substances such as insects. Create and design copper pendants, beads, key chains or small heirlooms.
