Over the past 14 weeks, artist Roger Whiting of Community Arts of Utah has been conducting a weekly artist residency with Matt's Place, a day treatment center for youth with autism and/or other spectrum conditions.  The result of the residency is this exhibit of encaustic (melted wax) artworks. Through this display of art we wish to show that neurologically atypical people (artists included) might see the world differently. That said, our struggles, mistakes, and triumphs result in sometimes messy, but ultimately beautiful and unique lives.
