TAKING PRECAUTIONS TO KEEP YOU HEALTHY

BDAC & COVID-19:

updated 4/6/2021

BDAC is monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely

We are following reliable sources like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Utah's COVID-19 Community Task Force for information. We are also in dialogue with our arts and culture colleagues around the state and nation regarding the best preventative measures we can take to protect our arts patrons.

We are delighted to have you back with us!

As BDAC has reopened to the public with our regular gallery hours, Tues-Fri 10-6 and Sat 12-5, we reiterate our commitment to the health and safety of our visitors, artists, and staff. In order to help protect the community and prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are implementing a number of safety procedures for the art center. These include:

  • Masks must be worn by everyone throughout the building and may be purchased at the front desk and gift shop. If you are unable to wear a mask, please do not risk going out in public. Instead, stay safe at home and enjoy the online videos available on our website and YouTube channel.

  • Hand sanitizer stations are placed at the front desk, back door, classroom, and main gallery.

  • 6-foot social distancing is expected.

  • Safety reminders are posted throughout the art center.

  • Highly-trafficked areas and commonly touched places like door handles and faucets are disinfected frequently.

  • Classes and events scheduled are small enough to allow for safe social distancing. Many classes, as well as virtual exhibition walkthroughs, talks, and events, are available online.

  • We will follow these procedures for the foreseeable future regardless of loosening state regulations.

Community safety is important to all of us.

Whether at home or in public, there are general safety recommendations we should all follow. (Wash your hands and don't touch your face!) Most importantly, if you are not feeling well, stay home. This is what we're telling our staff and volunteers, and this is what we suggest to our visitors and community.

Going forward, we will continue to review and revise our strategy in accordance with the most up-to-date information and recommendations.

PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES, AND LET'S TAKE CARE OF ONE ANOTHER!
