About Us: The Bountiful Davis Art Center (BDAC) is a vibrant hub for the arts in Davis County, Utah. We are dedicated to enriching our community through dynamic art exhibitions, educational programs, and community events. This fall, we’re seeking a motivated and creative volunteer intern to assist with our end-of-year appeal campaign and sponsorship efforts for our beloved Gingerbread Festival.
Position Overview: As the Development & Marketing Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting BDAC’s fundraising and marketing efforts related to the end of year campaign. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit development and event sponsorship while contributing to the success of our organization’s key initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
End-of-Year Appeal Support:
Work with the Executive Director and Marketing team in developing and executing the end-of-year appeal fundraising campaign.
Create content for donor communications, including emails, direct mail, and social media posts related to the campaign.
Track campaign progress, analyze engagement metrics, and provide insights for optimization.
Gingerbread Festival Sponsorship:
Research potential sponsors and assist in creating sponsorship proposals.
Coordinate with sponsors to ensure fulfillment of benefits and recognition.
Support the planning and execution of the Gingerbread Festival, including sponsor-related logistics and event day activities.
Assist in managing sponsor communications, ensuring all deliverables are met.
General Development Support:
Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions focused on development and fundraising strategies.
Assist with administrative tasks related to donor management, including database updates and thank-you letters.
Engage with BDAC’s mission and work to help us achieve our fundraising goals.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Arts Administration, or a related field.
Strong writing and communication skills, with an eye for detail and creativity.
Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite a plus).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for the arts and community engagement.
Previous experience in marketing, fundraising, or event planning is a plus but not required.
