Description:
Bountiful Davis Art Center is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Education Intern to join our vibrant team. This internship offers hands-on experience in arts education and administration at a thriving art center committed to community engagement and cultural enrichment.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Education in creating and leading educational tours and art activities for school groups, adults and senior groups, enhancing their appreciation and understanding of the arts.
Plan and execute Family Art Nights, creating an engaging and inclusive environment for community members of all ages and leading the art-making.
Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing friendly and informative service.
Work with the Director of Education to schedule art classes at BDAC and communicate with art instructors.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree program related to education, art history, fine arts, or museum studies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for art and education, and a desire to work in a community-focused arts environment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Previous experience in education, customer service, or volunteering is a plus.
