July 14th - August 4th
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Instructor: Jo Bradbury
This illustration course will focus on the Art Nouveau movement (Art Nouveau, the ornamental style of art that flourished between about 1890 and 1910 throughout Europe and the United States). In addition to studying this movement, we will recreate our own version of an Art Nouveau image. We will also learn the basics of illustration from a basic understanding of the human head, how to draw using line weights and value variety. We will also learn about decorative and ornamental elements, the basics of a quality composition, and the use of an emphasis in said composition. It will be a very fun and rewarding time!
