Artist Bio

Pris’ desire to create art started very early.  Her first masterpiece was created as a toddler on her aunt’s new white wallpaper … with her cousin’s charcoals and was only appreciated by the artist herself!  That desire and amazement continues to be the driving force behind her work.  A few college art classes were thoroughly enjoyed, but life happens and she chose to set her dreams aside for a time to raise her family.  During that time, artwork was created quickly, but sporadically, learning by experience and trying new ideas. Feeling a need to add color to her work, Pris set down the charcoals and graphite pencils to test out the medium of colored pencils and quickly became hooked.  Her art is often created in colored pencil and will sometimes have an underpainting of watercolor, pastel or graphite.   She is a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America and has had the privilege of having her work published in multiple colored pencil publications and has also illustrated some children’s books.
