October 15th to November 19th
4PM-6PM (Mountain Standard Time)
Instructor is Marian Pham
In this class, we will focus on drawing the human head using Chiaroscuro and Sfumato techniques. There are many methods and processes to drawing the human head and figure. My approach is to help you train your eye to simplify shapes in light and dark values, and to develop healthy drawing habits by the end of the class. All levels of artists are welcome.
During the first four classes, we will utilize photo references to learn how to break down the drawing process into five steps: gesture, proportions, shadow shapes, edge control, and detail.
Please see supply list for required materials
A Zoom link will be sent via email the day before class begins. Please have your microphone muted unless you have a question or comment.
