ANNUAL GINGERBREAD HOUSE COMPETITION

Our annual Gingerbread House Competition is open to all ages and abilities! Individuals, groups, and families are encouraged to enter and compete for prizes. Houses will be on display for a week in our Gingerbread Village with winners announced during the Gingerbread Festival.
​
This year's jurors include Bountiful City Mayor, Kendalyn Harris and members of the City Council.
​
Artists may choose to donate their houses to our silent auction. Purchases go directly toward supporting programs at the BDAC and are a tax-deductible donation.

All purchased and unpurchased houses must be picked up on this day ​​​

We encourage all individuals, groups, and families to enter. Gingerbread Houses will be divided into and judged by the following categories:​​

Group Effort

Business
-
Adult (16+)
-
Youth (11-15)

Child (up to age 10)

All entries due during BDAC business hours November 25 - 29.

Saturday, Noon - 5 PM​

Tuesday - Wednesday, 10 AM - 6 PM

Each house will have a $5 entry fee ​and will be registered upon arrival.

Unlike previous years, we will only be accepting payment in person ​upon delivery.

There is no limit to the number of entries per person or group.
​

Houses must be made at least partially of edible materials (gingerbread, candy, etc.) but be constructed soundly enough to remain intact until pickup on December 11th.

If a house is based on a kit we encourage the artist to be creative and make it their own!​

Gingerbread houses may be sold through silent auction.

Proceeds from the houses will be donated to Bountiful Davis Art Center.​

All purchased houses will remain on display from December 2 - 9

Pickup information:

All houses purchased or unpurchased, must be picked up on December 11th from 10 AM - 6 PM
-
If you are unable to pick up your house on this date, accommodations ​may be made by appointment only with bren@bdac.org​
