Clara Amezcua is a multifaceted creative force born in Mexico, known for blending tradition with innovation. Her passion for artisanal craftsmanship shines through in her vibrant piñatas and intricate alebrijes, which honor and preserve Mexico’s rich cultural heritage. As a skilled artisan and dedicated educator, Clara shares her knowledge and enthusiasm through engaging, hands-on workshops. In this dynamic workshop, Clara will begin with a historical overview of piñatas—their origins and their evolving cultural significance around the world. Participants will then create their own traditional mini piñatas, focusing on the classic seven-point star design. This fun and creative experience is open to all ages and skill levels—no prior experience needed! You’ll learn time-honored techniques and leave with your own colorful creation. Come celebrate culture, craft, and community in this joyful and inspiring event!

Cancellation Policy
Registration fees are to be paid before the beginning of each class. A spot in a class is not guaranteed until full tuition and fees are paid. All classes have a minimum and maximum enrollment and Bountiful Davis Art Center reserves the right to cancel classes that do not meet the minimum number of students required. Every effort is made to notify those registered of cancellations. Fees for classes canceled by the Art Center will be fully refunded. Cancellation/Refund Terms for classes: Classes cancelled by the art center: 100% refund Student cancels before first class: $10 fee (Please e-mail kaye@bdac.org for refund, less $10 fee) Student cancels after beginning of first class: No refund
