BDAC regularly hosts artist calls, providing opportunities for emerging and established artists to showcase their work in our dynamic exhibitions. These calls invite diverse artistic voices to engage with our creative community and share their work and perspectives with a wide audience.

FEBRUARY
Summerfest Performers and Artisans
BDAC’s Summerfest call invites cultural performers and artists to share their talent and cultural heritage in a celebration of creativity at our vibrant summer event.
FEBRUARY
DSD Student Art Show
The exhibition is a juried competition showcasing the best young artists from across the district. We invite a guest judge to evaluate the artwork,and award prizes to recognize outstanding achievement.

Exhibition Proposals
Individual artists may apply for solo exhibitions in the Annex and Front Galleries, while curators can submit proposals for curated exhibitions in all three galleries including the Main Gallery. Non-profit groups may apply for the Underground Gallery.
APRIL
Artist-In-Residence
BDAC’s Artist-in-Residence program offers artists dedicated time, a studio, and support to develop their work while engaging with our creative community. This is not a live-in space.


APRIL
Plein Air Competition
Each year, BDAC invites Utah artists to create in the plein air tradition, with a rotating theme and exhibition. A guest judge will select prize-winning works, and all are encouraged to submit work.
MAY
Statewide Emerging Artists' Annual (SWEAA)
We invite submissions from early-career artists, artists with significant career gaps, and current BFA or MFA students for a competitive juried exhibition. Each year, works are selected by a guest curator, with cash awards granted to artists whose pieces exemplify exceptional creativity and promise, offering a platform to elevate emerging talent.

Member's Exhibition
For the first time, BDAC invites current members to submit one original artwork for this non-juried group exhibition. This show celebrates the creativity of our community, with space available on a first-come, first-served basis. Drop-off Dates: May 9 & May 12, 2026

AUGUST
Winter Art Market
Artists and makers are invited to apply for BDAC’s Winter Art Market, a curated indoor marketplace showcasing high-quality, hand-crafted works. BDAC actively markets participating artists and collects no booth fee, creating a festive opportunity to connect with holiday shoppers on Bountiful’s Main Street.


DECEMBER 1, 2025 DROP-OFF
Gingerbread Houses
Artists, bakers, and builders are invited to create imaginative gingerbread houses for our annual festival and exhibition. Entries are part of a silent auction supporting BDAC programs, with a guest judge selecting top designs and prizes awarded. All ages and abilities are encouraged to participate.
