Spring in the Forest

May 9th - Fantastic Frog Watercolor

Using pastel resist technique, students will learn about Bullfrogs and learn how to draw on int pastel and then use watercolor to add color.

May 16th - Bear Collage

Using a textured paper, students will learn to draw a bear and then cust it out and collage it onto a fun floral background that they create with pastel They will also have the opportunity to create flowers for collage onto the bear to create the illusion that he is lying in flowers.

May 23rd -Mushroom Collage

This fun lesson features a forest full of fungi and comes with plenty of room for experimentation and personalization. First,students will create painted paper with a variety of techniques like scraping, splatter painting which is sure to get their creative juices flowing. Then they will collage their mushrooms onto a forest environment that they will draw with pastel.

May30 - Birds Nest 3D Paper Collage

Using templates for eggs and the nest spahe student will create a layered environment to put their eggs in. They will add things like feathers, leaves and other embellishments to build up the nest in a similar fashion to a bird.
