September 1 -Feelings Mobile

Elements of art like line, shape and color can be used by artists to communicate different feelings. Take a moment to think about your feelings and how they would be translated into shapes. Then created these shapes and hang them on a handmade mobile

September 8 -Modgliani Self portrait

Using oil pastel on black paper, create an expressive self portrait after the graceful style of Amedeo Modgliani.

September 22- Betye Saar All About Me Shadow Box

African American artist Betye Saar created stories about her life experiences by collecting found objects and assembling them in boxes.  Learn about her unique work and make your own shadow box filled with 3D treasure that is all about you and your life experiences

September 29 -Hilma Af Klint Shape Paintings

Hilma af Klint, created compositions using shape, form, color and line that were not direct visual representations of a physical form found in the world. They sought to create an image that was unique and expressed ideas within the artist rather than something from the visual world. Use Oil pastel and watercolor to create a painting using abstract shapes that map your internal world

All materials are provided. Masks are also required.
