Class Description
Get into the holiday spirit with this fun gingerbread house-decorating workshop led by Jessica Bedingfield. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the art (and science!) of gingerbread decorating — from delicate icing techniques to creative design details that make your holiday display truly shine. What You’ll Learn: Icing Tricks & Piping Techniques – Master royal icing basics for clean lines, intricate borders, and decorative flourishes. You’ll practice piping, flooding, and adding textured details to bring your gingerbread to life. Faux Stained-Glass Windows – Create dazzling “glass” effects using melted sugar or candy to mimic the look of real stained glass. Perfect for adding a magical glow when backlit by candles or fairy lights. Structural Integrity & Assembly – Discover the secrets to building a sturdy gingerbread house that stands tall. Learn how to plan your structure, reinforce seams, and avoid common pitfalls (like collapsed roofs!). All skill levels welcome. Icing bags, gingerbread pieces, and decorating materials are provided—just bring your creativity and holiday spirit! NOTE: Each participant can enter his/her finished gingerbread house, free of charge, into our annual BDAC Gingerbread House Competition! Entries will be on display for public viewing at the BDAC during the first week of December. Gingerbread Festival will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6th 10am-2pm. All ages welcome if accompanied by an adult.

Cancellation Policy
Registration fees are to be paid before the beginning of each class. A spot in a class is not guaranteed until full tuition and fees are paid. All classes have a minimum and maximum enrollment and Bountiful Davis Art Center reserves the right to cancel classes that do not meet the minimum number of students required. Every effort is made to notify those registered of cancellations. Fees for classes canceled by the Art Center will be fully refunded. Cancellation/Refund Terms for classes: Classes cancelled by the art center: 100% refund Student cancels before first class: $10 fee (Please e-mail kaye@bdac.org for refund, less $10 fee) Student cancels after beginning of first class: No refund
