Class Description
Come join us for three classes in which we will learn different pottery hand-building techniques as we build Ocean Creatures and Coral Creations together! The first two classes will focus on sculpting things out of clay with an emphasis on keeping large bodies hollow, maintaining proper moisture levels for specific tasks, and the importance of ‘scoring and slipping’ to create strong bonds between connected pieces of pottery. The final class will focus on glazing our creations either with the more detail-oriented ‘paint-on glazes’, or with the quick and vibrant ‘dipping glazes’. After our last class we will load our creations into the kiln and then contact you to let you know when your creations are ready for pickup! If you have to miss any classes due to vacations, illnesses, or anything else let me know because we are very flexible regarding makeup time. Reach out if you have any questions. Cancellation Policy
Registration fees are to be paid before the beginning of each class. A spot in a class is not guaranteed until full tuition and fees are paid. All classes have a minimum and maximum enrollment and Bountiful Davis Art Center reserves the right to cancel classes that do not meet the minimum number of students required. Every effort is made to notify those registered of cancellations. Fees for classes canceled by the Art Center will be fully refunded. Cancellation/Refund Terms for classes: Classes cancelled by the art center: 100% refund Student cancels before first class: $10 fee (Please e-mail kaye@bdac.org for refund, less $10 fee) Student cancels after beginning of first class: No refund
