Class Description
July 7th – American Bald Eagle In this lesson, students will use oil pastels to draw the image on black paper, they will then come in over the top with tempera paint to create a patriotic painting. We will discuss line, value and pattern. July 8th- Bryce Canyon National Park In this lesson, students will be using a chalk and glue technique. In this technique, liquid glue is used to “draw” the composition on black sulphite paper. Once the glue is dried your student will use chalk pastels to paint in the hoodoos, background and foreground. July 9th – Mile High BBQ Every summer we spend countless summer celebrations in a bbq with family and friends. In this project your student will make mile high sandwiches. They will use all kinds of different textures and paper to create a mile high BBQ sandwich. July 10th – Tunic inspired painting after Leo Yerxa Your student will enjoy the different processes used to create this project that has been inspired by the book Ancient Thunder and the traditional clothing made and worn by the Indigenous Peoples of the Great Plains. They will be using pastels, paint, collage, and crumpled paper to create a rawhide look along and will finish off the edges with a yarn fringe.

Cancellation Policy
Registration fees are to be paid before the beginning of each class. A spot in a class is not guaranteed until full tuition and fees are paid. All classes have a minimum and maximum enrollment and Bountiful Davis Art Center reserves the right to cancel classes that do not meet the minimum number of students required. Every effort is made to notify those registered of cancellations. Fees for classes canceled by the Art Center will be fully refunded. Cancellation/Refund Terms for classes: Classes cancelled by the art center: 100% refund Student cancels before first class: $10 fee (Please e-mail kaye@bdac.org for refund, less $10 fee) Student cancels after beginning of first class: No refund
