About
In this 6-week course, you will be able to dive into ancient skills you've always wanted to try! We will be learning how to create functional pieces such as mugs and jars on a potter's wheel. We will learn every step of the process and the techniques and skills that will help make this expressive art form a lifelong hobby. Students will pick up fired works 3 weeks after the final class session.Â
Week 1: Intro to the wheel, wedging and centering
Week 2: Wedging and centering continued
Week 3: Mugs and handels
Week 4: Basics of glazing
Week 5: Jars and lids
Week 6: Final touches and glazing
