Una exposición de lxs Artistas en Residencia 2025 de Artes de México en Utah

Raíces en Poder nace de la colaboración entre Artes de México en Utah y Bountiful Davis Art Center para dar continuidad y visibilidad a un programa que tuvo que ponerse en pausa tras el cierre de nuestro aliado, The Leonardo Museum, y los recortes presupuestarios que afectaron su continuidad.

Esta exposición reúne el trabajo tanto de lxs artistas que participaron en la convocatoria del Programa de Artistas en Residencia 2025 como de quienes fueron seleccionadxs para formar parte de esta generación. Aunque el programa no pudo desarrollarse como estaba previsto, las obras presentadas reflejan el compromiso, la creatividad y la fuerza de artistas que continúan creando, investigando y fortaleciendo el tejido cultural de nuestra comunidad.

Raíces en Poder celebra la resiliencia, la imaginación y el poder transformador del arte para sostener nuestras historias, preservar nuestras raíces y construir futuros compartidos.

An Exhibition of the 2025 Artes de México en Utah Artists in Residence

Roots in Power is the result of a collaboration between Artes de México en Utah and the Bountiful Davis Art Center to continue and honor a program that was placed on hold following the closure of our partner institution, The Leonardo Museum, and the budget reductions that affected its continuation.

This exhibition brings together the work of both the artists who applied to the 2025 Artists in Residence program and those who were selected for the residency. Although the program could not move forward as originally envisioned, the works on view reflect the commitment, creativity, and resilience of artists who continue to create, research, and strengthen the cultural fabric of our community.

Roots in Power celebrates resilience, imagination, and the transformative power of art to preserve our stories, honor our roots, and imagine shared futures.
