Chris Bodily
Chris Bodily has been illustrating under the name Hatrobot for over fifteen years. His Pop Surrealist illustration is simultaneously whimsical and dark with work inspired by cartoons, comic books, tattoos, and graffiti. Chris is the recipient of the 2015 Utah Arts Festival People’s Choice Award. Additionally, he has received two Del Close Awards, a City Weekly Arty Award, an Indie Ogden Award, and one of Ogden’s 40 Under 40. Bodily’s work has been featured in Juxtapoz, Nius-News, Koi Koi Koi, In-Print, and Big Shiny Robot. He has shown with the Hive Gallery, Blonde Grizzly, Pandemonium, and 313 North Studios in Las Vegas. He is a regular contributor to Utah Stories, Salt Lake City Weekly, and Slug Magazine. Some of his freelance clients include Bikers Against Child Abuse, iO West, Heebeegeebeez Comics Games & Toys, and Hellskate. Chris is a proud alumnus and former adjunct professor of the Southern Utah University Art Department and a Continuing Ed instructor for Weber State. Outside of illustration, Chris is also a creative writer and the Artistic Director of the Comedy Loft in Ogden.
