We’re thrilled to present SB Dance’s Curbside Theater, a free outdoor performance designed to surprise, delight, and bring professional dance and theater directly into our community.

What is Curbside Theater?

Curbside Theater is an award-winning project by SB Dance, founded by choreographer and director Stephen Brown. It’s part pop-up dance theater, part concert, part circus spectacle—all staged outdoors in public spaces. Instead of asking audiences to come to a stage, Curbside Theater brings the stage to you, transforming streets and plazas into arenas for creative wonder.

This unique format blends contemporary dance, live music, theatrical storytelling, and light into a one-of-a-kind performance. Each show features a pre-concert, followed by two original one-act works: Box of Dolls and When Love Calls. The result is both playful and profound—a celebration of art that feels fresh, immediate, and accessible.
